Hello! We are a group of concerned alabamians, just like you!
We are students, educators, employees, business owners, retired individuals, community members. We are alabamians, and we love our state parks and public spaces. We started the #savealabamaparks movement so that we cando something about potential park closures.
Where's the fire? Closing our parks would mean more than 300 of our community out of work, loss of revenue, and loss of nature for our children. Species that don't exist anywhere else in the world live in our parks and are protected here. This is an internal security issue, not just loss of recreational opportunities. People from all over the country come to Alabama to experience the beauty and ecological diversity that we have here.
What do we want to do? WORKING TOGETHER, WE WANT TO BRING MORE ATTENTION TO THIS PROBLEM SO THAT EVERYONE-NOT JUST ALABAMA, BUT EVERYONE, IS AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM.
Projects: Open Parks PSA - #1: Cheaha State PArk RIGHT NOW, WE'RE FOCUSING ON BUILDING MOMENTUM AND GETTING THE WORD OUT. The short film is in editing now.
